Elaine,
Massachusetts is surely a better bet than the Oulu Province,
technicalwriterwise. Good luck, you jane of all trades.
Until four weeks ago, I did tech writing for R&D (requirements,
func specs, use cases etc) and end users alike.
All by sudden IT managers all over Oulu have started to think
that they or their subordinate programmers, engineers or
marketing people can take care of every imaginable kind of
writing by themselves. As to my company, I'd especially love
to see the end-user stuff (manuals etc.) they produce now.
In what they think is good English.
But Rich - nothing can get you out of NYC, I presume. Don't
forget to leave some banana dessert for breakfast.
