Pynchon has done some pretty funny savaging of literarily analytical intellectuals anyway.....laughing with use of his buddy K. Sale's analysis
of Wharfinger in Lot 49, a find bit in GR and, of course, largest particular reach of the satire, maybe, Candlebrow U in AtD......
We gotta laugh at it too, since they are us too.........
