I'm glad there are more people reading Pynchon--hopefully, it will
encourage them to read his other works

As I told Heikki, I think the veritable lightness of IV definitely has
clashed with my more dour frame of mind, so who knows, I may come
around--i'm starting another read shortly. figures now that I have all
the time in the world and weed is more than available and legal
somewhat shortly that I don't have the dough to buy it (a great stoner
Twilight Zone episode)

I am trying to be positive--was cheered up watching a really bad movie
from 1969 w/ James Mason called Age of Consent--terrible romantic
comedy saved only by seeing a 19 yr old Helen Mirren cavorting in the
surf en deshabille (awfully sexist for sure but beauty is beauty and
far from lust)
trying to watch alot of movies from the IV period--alot of sleaze for
sure unfortunately
