Another hilarious bit of pop culture 'analysis'. One way I read this in
Pynchon, from the K. Sale analysis in Lot 49 to the lit crit analysis
in GR, is as a joke about, well, us, or even more, academics and their
anaysis and deconstructions...

Here, though, talk about endearing. Saunch seems so to me. Trained as a lawyer, he can't help seeing cartoons as he does, so the cognitive dissonance IS the humor....

A...and to project "grooming demands" onto Daisy is another nice joke about
a guy who is still juvenile in his attitude toward women, yes?
