IV any traces of another Californian?

I blush to confess that, though I have received IV weeks ago, I'm still
busy reading Against the Day (well, I passed page 1000 today so the
destination is almost reached), but since here everybody seem to be
deep into IV--which is to be expected, after all, I'd like to ask you if
anyone has spotted any hint at that increasingly famous Californian
writer that Pynchon must have read while writing GR (and Vineland, I
suspect), that is Philip Kindred Dick.
