Beginning of Chap 3 of The Man in the High Castle:

"At sunset, glancing up, Juliana Frink saw the dot of light in
the sy shoot in an arc, disappear to the west. One of those
Nazi rocket ships, she said to herself."

A few pages later: "The rocket, he realized, had begun its long
slow descent."

Germany's evil WW2 leaders now rule (part) of the world in this
'alternative history' [before the concept was widespread]
and at one point, when two are discussing the nature of Germans and
Germany, one character says: Maybe, as Jung says, [their nature] is archetypal. The other says he's read Jung and agrees.

Remember in Against the Day when TRP takes pains to distinguish the
historic Germany and Germans, constant bad news in his fiction, from the 
archtypal Deep Black Forest, full of riches good and bad?
