Gremmies, grab yr boards! Happy to report that Big Surf, a surfing  
amusement park complete with wave-making machine, in Phoenix, Arizona,  
will remain open, apparently Clairol is taking it over, and the place  
won't close as previously reported.

Big Surf is the site of our high school graduation party in 1970 (not  
long after the Kent State shootings) - speaking of a Southern  
California dream that captivated the nation, They brought the surf to  
the desert - an event that lives forever engrooved in the memories of  
all graduates of Arcadia  High in that pivotal year.
