I'm having the usual trouble making out exactly what you mean here.

Saying, oh well, it's not a debate club, is exactly the kind of thing I
was talking about. You offer us what purports to be logic then when
someone (me) points out that what you write generally does not seem (to
me) like logic or reasoned argument, you can just take one of your many
convenient outs and say, well, we're not in a debating club.

I don't really care too much about (a) this issue of Hope, or (b)
whether your posts make 'sense' or not. But I would like to stress that
I didn't intend to 'jab' at you or launch 'below the belt' attacks of
any sort. I don't think I did. For what it's worth, I reckon the p-list
would potentially benefit from your posts if only there were a tad more
coherent. And concise. But on the other hand, I don't expect you to care
what I think, which is fine by me.
