Well, you really don't know what you are missing.
I'm not saying it's better or that I'm better for the experience, but
there really is nothing else quite like it. And trust me, my mind was
plenty fragile to start with. There are things that Pynchon refers to
when he refers to LSD that I'd take as witness to the experience. I'd
suggest that the shorter novels are more drawn from life, Acid figures
in all three, along with California and the CIA. You go figure.
