CIA and Grof: As I recall from those days (and my recollection ought to be 
reliable, as my then-lover spent a summer with him), Grof was one of fewer 
than a dozen people who had legal endorsement to experiment with LSD. The 
CIA may have been the source of that permission. There were, of course, all 
kinds of rumours flying about regarding his (potentially) more insidious 
work for the Bosses. Corina returned with the definite impression that there 
were no pernicious connections between the two. However, my memory may not 
serve, and she could have been mistaken.
