Strange that so many reviews of IV fail to understand the book's
timeline.
Out or curiosity, anyone have a clue how close the timeline of
Inherent Vice coincides with the 1970 NBA playoffs? I know it ends
with the end of the NBA playoffs on Pynchon's 33'd [biblical number,
that one] birthday, but when does it start?
