Hopper makes an appearance in the doco Cool School: How L.A. Learned
to Love Modern Art (2008), documenting the West Coast postwar art
scene at a time when NY dominated (although Warhol did early shows
over there). Looks at the likes of Ed Ruscha, Ed Kienholz, John
Altoon, centring on the Ferus Gallery. Of interest to the list I
reckon, really gets into the social geography of the hipster scene,
and I can imagine TRP slinking around the edges.
