partly why i have trouble rooting for the Yanks anymore (still hate
the sox tho--that'll never go away, Joe ;)
they actually threw a guy out of the stadium b/c he needed to go to
the restroom during that shit (I of course blame Steinbrenner but lets
not forget old Simon Bar-Sinister himself Rudi Guiliani-he had alot to
do w/ that, don't think even Bush milked the 9/11 wagon as much as
Rudi--couple of Village Voice writers (Wayne Barrett and Tom Robbins
was one) wrote a pretty damning book expose on the myth of Rudi and
9/11--'lets put our city's emergency HQ in the bullseyed WTC complex
because I could walk from City Hall' tho it really shoulda been in
Brooklyn, he had connections w/ I think Motorola which botched the new
radios for firefighters which definitely led to needless death so
forth, doubt most firemen in NYC would give u any good word on Rudi)
and to make things even more laughable--they 'stole' that song from
the Philadelphia Flyers
