Anatolia<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anatolia>,
later diffusing throughout the Mediterranean and into Central and Northern
Europe. Along with fellow Archaeologist Paul
Bahn<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Bahn>,
Renfrew has come up with the 'Renfew and Bahns indicator of Religion and
Ritual', a definition to determine whether the actions or conducts of
Archaeological civilizations were a religious ritual.

In 1980 Renfrew was elected a Fellow of the British Academy. In 1981 he was
elected to the Disney Professorship of
