And how much do you want to bet that Dennis knew TRP? Considering the  
circles he lived and worked in, how likely that the author knew Terry  
Melcher? "Inherent Vice" indeed!

BTW, I don't think Brian was freaked out by Stuttering Tom nearly as  
much as being freaked out in general at the time.
