U. Eco on wikileaks...and DID TRP see everything??..everything?? related to these themes?

Perhaps they have simply *re-morphed* into such? One could almost certainly
argue that Embassies served as 'espionage centres' throughout the Cold War,
and during the build up of the first and second World Wars..?
Pynchon is an acute observer of History, so one imagines these 'recent'
changes would hardly surprise him (or indeed any student of History).
