Well, I certainly doubt that one can truly appreciate GR without some  
major psychotropic assistance.

However, simply by virtue of enjoying the novel one becomes a charter  
member of the League of Pretentious Weirdos -- Welcome aboard brother!

BTW, seriously interesting take on the novel -- by golly, there is a  
lot of fucking going on in Gravity's Rainbow, isn't there?
