We could skip it. It is the weakest chapter in the novel. Nothing much
there that needs a good working over. We've been over why the crew is
sick, how the cops are TV cops, window jumping, Pig on the meaning of
Life, Keep Cool But Care, Abortion, Divorce, and all things Roman
Catholics consider sacraments and sacred vs. all things the Profanes
consider cheap, disposable, throw-it-away...the list includes Life,
Human Life, Birth, and so on.

People can use the break time to read the first 12 chapters, if they haven't, or ski, shovel snow, party, or lapse into deep depression over the cold and dark and meaninglessness of everything (that's where I'm heading!). We'll pick up Chapter 13 on 1/10.
