Kai's post had two parts I think: the ineffectiveness of the Traverse 
Clan and secondly the female betrayer image. My assertion was that 
p-list has zero understanding of Labor and is really anti-Labor. That 
may be due to the endlessly poor media presentation of Labor which 
did seem to filter into the list. The question "why did students not 
connect with labor" is a good one but not in the book Neither is SDS 
in the book As I recall, there was general disapproval of those 
narcissistic hippies which are also not in the book except for film 
representations of them. Those representations are from the 80's, the 
brain-dead 80's which followed the Disco 70's.
