Also known as the Helgoy. Freighter, liner type 3 masts tiny short funnel.
Built in 1920 by Burmeister, Copenhagen for F. olsen & Co., Oslo. 5614
gross tons. Career period: 1920 - ca. 1970.
Helgoy translates to "Holy Island" and, while Malta certainly, a boat
can be an island, the Pequad of course, its crew are all islanders,
isoladoes, insular and isolated, but for the married Ishmael and
Queequeg.
History:

2. H (1936) when bought by Erling H. Samuelsen, Oslo.
3. Mikolaj Rej (1950) when bought by Polish Ocean Lines, Goynia.
4. Still in 1955/6 Lloyd's as such.
5. Still in 1964/5 Lloyd's but owners now People's Republic of China.
