First edition, publisher's dummy with provisional dustwrapper art. Fine in fine dustwrapper affixed to the pastedowns. Unstamped full cloth with unprinted text block that bulks approximately the same as the finished book with photocopied jacket art and printed glassine overjacket. Pynchon's editor Ray Roberts' copy, with his book label on the front pastedown. Note on Roberts' printed card stating "salesman's dummy with provisional jacket art." Roberts started editing Pynchon when Pynchon went to Little, Brown, starting with his book Slow Learner. Possibly unique.
