see, here is my cognitive dissonance:
my mental picture of Monroe is this hip librarian dude,
darting off to DJ gigs at night, posting from coffeeshops and friends's
couches.  It actually sounds kind of enviable.

Now you're telling me I should instead be feeling Schadenfreude?

that "observation" at the hospital, if taking that time
won't automatically lose you your job - sounds like it might
give you the time to catch your breath...

risking a brickbat from malignd, got to tell you,
I get real relief from bach's rescue remedies at times...

or remember the Salinger story where the guy didn't really experience relief
until he carried around a copy of a Blake poem "like a poultice"...
