I forgot about the owner who got into a fistfight on the field in
Oakland after a game with Raiders' defensive lineman Howie Long. You
read that right, the OWNER got into a fistfight with Howie Long who
was in uniform and wearing a helmet at the time. This is the same guy
who decided that he was a music maven too and was going to manage the
Jacksons' tour, resulting in financial disaster. Even worse, the
selectmen of the town of Foxboro voted to deny the Jacksons a permit
to play in their town because "it would attract the wrong element".
Apparently, drunken idiots flying gasoline-powered model airplanes
into the stands during a riot are the right element.
