Half the fun was hangin' with P-Liste People. That's always
entertaining. The degree of common experience and agreement never
ceases to be enjoyable and even after all of these years, still
surprising.

"Was you there, Charlie?" wasn't addressed to anyone in particular, but:
"Now factitious disorder used to be called Munchhausen syndrome, or
Munchhausen's by proxy. First a word of explanation before I move on.
For those of you who might not know where the term comes from. The
word Munchhausen comes from a German Baron who lived during the 18th
Century. He was a noted teller of tall tales and a man who was prone
to outrageous stories. Like taking a trip to the moon or outracing
cannon balls. His name was later taken by the comic Jack Pearl for one
of the earliest Radio comedy series in the 30's. He was also a tall
teller. In fact when anyone doubted any of his stories he used the
catch phrase 'Was you there Charlie?' More of you might be familiar
with the 1998 Terry Gilliam film The Adventures of Baron Munchhausen
starring John Neville and Robin Williams. "
