Read the text and Richard's objection is beside(s) the point. Of
course, if one wants to re-hash the old critical theory is but a style
of Marxist theory that tends to globalize and thus vitiate with
non-Marxist theories such as those of the  neo-Marxians and
Nietzscheans  and Freudians and Feminist, in other words, and stick
your Marxist nose up in the classical European Economists' clouds as
you consider the connotative and pejorative meanings of the term.
"Revisionist", we that's a knock down argument Humpty. But read the
text and post a passage. Hell, just post the Preface and the bit on
Legs and the Goddess and the Bomb and so on and It seems fairly
obvious that we would limit or reject many a fine reading of texts,
not to mention those Pynchonian ones, if we were all to adopt
Richard's snipes from the tin pan alleys behind the cloak and dagger
doors of deception.
