<<Oh well now, if the rest of the 'thinking world' disagrees with me,
Iguess I better rethink my position eh? The 'thinking world' includes
you, does it?>>
The thinking world certainly includes me and disagrees, I think I can
say, with you. Which is not to say that you should change your
position. "To each their own." (sic)

I loved my Macbook when I bought it, and it is still a very
nice*object*. But the Mac OS, particularly the Finder is very much a
caseof style over substance. I find the whole thing very frustrating
touse, and I work full-time as a software developer so I'm not
exactlycomputer illiterate. As for the iPod, I've got 2 of them, mainly
because I view them (ordid) as the best of a bad bunch. But since the
advent of theitouch/ipod 'classic' generation, they have changed the
sound chip, making the sound you get from them even more synthetic than
before. The cult of Mac is a bit overblown, to say the least. All those
nerdswetting themselves every time Steve Jobs unveils a new feature of
thelatest product is a sick-making sight. As you say, each to their
own.<<Not much to say to this other than that I, and most of the rest
of the=20thinking world disagree with you. To each his own.Yes, I do.
Windows is ugly, and it certainly is not perfect. But,having=20used a
Macbook now for a few years, I have come to hate it moreand=20more. The
'Finder', for instance, is an abomination. And the ipod (of=20which I
own two) is a joke as well. Crappy sound, wildly overpriced,=20that
terrible 'click wheel', the fact that it can'tbe usefully
operated=20while still in your pocket, etc etc.>>
