Years ago, I saw Liz Taylor in "The Little Foxes" at the Kennedy
Center.  As an adult, she always played women who were, for better or
worse, shall we say difficult to deal with, perhaps the best of which
was as the amazing Martha in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf,

Except for a couple of kinky instances, Pynchon doesn't cast women as
bee-atches (Greta in GR, and a rich B in ATD, I forget her name), does
he?
