Haven't delved back into "Gravity's Rainbow" quite yet, only pulling  
out and posting familiar snippets as the need arises.

However it strikes me that the literal centrality of marijuana in GR  
should be explored as well as the obvious overlaps of early 70's  
culture over "The Zone" and the analogous overlays of 2006/2009 web- 
lands over L.A. circa 1970 in Inherent Vice.

I'd also toss out the concept that the animated version of Thomas  
Pynchon that was yelling with a paper bag over his head in "Diatribe  
of a Mad Housewife" was the author of "Inherent Vice." I offer this as
