As some one who has been on the ground in the  aftermath of  a major 
disaster,  I would be just as hesitant to believe this sort of report as 
those of the mainstream media (which I certainly believe are largely 
bullshit).

My own experience was that virtually everything everyone said about what 
was going on turned out to be total crap.
