James Wood, Haiti Between God and a Hard Place

Which made me look up the Wikipedia entry for James Wood where I found a 
link to a response by Zadie Smith to something Wood wrote in the days 
after September 11, 2001, about 'hysterical realism'. This has probably 
been mentioned before, due to numerous Pynchon references... But in any 
case, I liked it a lot.
