I'm about 40% through Christopher Hitchens Hitch-22. He relates an
incident when Thomas Pynchon called him out of the blue to discuss the
state censorship of Larry Kramer's "Faggots".

Any thought on the veracity of this?

Despite his championing of rational thought over superstitious
nonsense, I'm starting to find Hitchens to be really fucking full of
himself and in need of an ass-kicking. But that might just be the
American in me.
