Ever read "On the Road" after "V." with yo-yoing sorta hanging in your mind?...spinning--walking it was called--like a yo-yo at its apochier in your mind?
I had completely forgotten of the first trip Sal takes north from NYC..and has to come back....before they start again for the coast.
Man. it felt like sorta happier yo-yoing ala benny to me--a book of perpetual cross-country motion; an exuberant story of friendship and a desire for........ connection, love, revelation??...showed it did not exist in 'normal America'. The tower was nowhere?
So, Benny's yo-yoing is, maybe, TRPs comic spin on...American aimlessness in the 50s?..His Whole Sick Crew like Sal and Dean and friends?..
And, "like one abstracted Street" the road felt like to Benny......the secular street in a non-Sacred land?
