P. 18 dated a guy from Harvard's crossbow team............ By the middle of the twentieth century, archery peaked in popularity among students in Cambridge, who trained in the sport to satisfy their physical education requirements for graduation and kept all archery courses at full enrollment. 
"Targets, set up in front of Moors Hall, are frequently not broad enough to receive all the arrows, making Moors' steps an unpopular lounge during shooting hours."
