course of my research over last few days, big defense contractor in
Texas--reviewing all their material about supporting the troops, rah-rah US
all the way, now a subsidiary of a big Italian conglomerate

maybe I've read too much Pynchon but these international companies with
tentacles everywhere particularly defense contractors, kinda freaks me out,
that all this patriotism is such a sham, fodder for corporate elites whose
benefit from numerous global instability/war on terror, etc. is obvious. all
you have to do is read their literature
