Don't think I was screaming. I wasn't making an ad hominem attack on you, and to be fair, I did say 'I may be wrong'. It's just that you jump in with a denial that Pynchon is 'discussing' math (or some particular mathematical area) in ATD, but you fail to explain what would qualify, in your book, for such a 'discussion'. You also think ATD is 'crap'.
I repeat: how your stance comes across is as some sort of didactic willy waving. You 'know' about all this math stuff, whereas we don't, so you are better placed to judge whether it's present in the book or not.
