How Can You Be in Two Places at Once When You're Not Anywhere at All?

Does it strike anyone else, that one of Pynchon's themes, film,
photography, imaging, that this sort of technology-play that he used most
notably in AtD -- his characters falling into a pioneering role, characters
that are the first to use a particular technology, that is in itself
nascent, going thru alchemical or speculative growth directions...... and
how at first we can see that the direction that those who capitalize on it
will go, whether it was Kit, or Merle, or Vibe...
Does it also sort of foreshadow our current ramp up of interest in 3-D
film?
Is TRP propheseying about 3-D film by his seizing somehow upon Bilocation
as a solid grasp on that quantum expression of visualization of something
that is located in one part of the screen and also in another part of the
screen, as becoming "more real"

maybe that is a very important thing that we have talked about before but
I've not been so thorough in reading the list as I could have been,

It's bigger than a a molecure, smaller than a breadbox, and "acts as
if it exists in two places at once"
