Nicely written, Mr. Easton. I don't see your address going into the plonk
list any time soon, but periodic interpersonal flaming on this list is so
old that once in a while I, or someone else, feels a need to ask "why can't
we all just get along?"

And why, pray tell, should one, or at least I, refrain from writing you, Mr.
Easton, off-list?

I don't recall ever disagreeing with you, Henry, about anything, except
on the occasion when you decided it was appropriate to attempt to use
the p-list as part of your work for Obama during his campaign (which was
obviously considerably further back than September).

Nor do I think that all my "conversations" are disagreeable, though I
will concede that most are so, at least to some degree. I post rarely,
only when I think that I actually have something to offer -- which is
rare -- or when I find something someone has said especially interesting
but also unclear -- also rare, not because of lack of posts that
interest me, but because I rarely find myself wanting clarification --
or when I find something someone has said not merely wrong or mistaken,
but wrong or mistaken in a way I find particularly interesting or
especially egregious.

You can of course send my emails to the trash bin unread it you think
I'm a troll and I would encourage you to do so.

And please don't write me off-list.

Ray
