Foundation crisis II

Perhaps it is because I am a logician and philosopher who is not well-versed 
in maths, but to me the crisis (or crises) in the foundations of math 
includes the Frege-Russell work on arithmetic.

P spends more time on the quaternion/vectors question, but there are 
references to Bertie "Mad Dog" Russell. Might P not be sympathetic to 
Russell's project? Or am I chasing the wrong squirrel up the wrong tree?
