A horn player I know worked with him for awhile, post Big Star and
after he relocated to New Orleans..
Nice guy. He was amused that he made more of a living from half of one
of his songs being used as a theme to a sitcom than he did from the
entire rest of his career even though they didn't use the Big Star
version. The second verse would have been more appropriate for the
show oddly enough.
