yet another try (because I want to convey a little more respect):

his reach extends beyond common knowledge toward things that are
considered arcana,
and extends the reach of things that can be gathered into the bundle
of knowledge that has been fondled literarily...

yet, with a counterforce, he deplores some aspects of this
demystification at the same time, and encourages consideration of some
re-mystifying...

if there are silos of specialized knowledge, then he has forked some
silage out of each but doesn't claim to own the silo

but if, by the same token, these silos exist, then the one he is
working in is fiction, and he does have a substantial equity position
in that one...
