Bellow got pretty conservative there in his later years, hanging with the
intellectual precursors of so many of those vile right-wing dipshits we have
to stomach all too much today. I'm not taking sides mind you, couldn't give
a damn about all those tiresome cultural wars which we seem not to let go
of.
