wow, didn't seem like a lot of that to me.  mostly, what I saw was that
some of them - Webb, Reef in particular, his anarchist buds -
tried to be that way, failed in huge and significant ways, and
their prose was surrounded by explication much more cool-headed
than the action it's describing.

I think a big duality is between "those who feel" - the revenge
tragedy occurring
on the ground

and "those who think" - the balloon boys sailing toward grace
