A...and, remember when Lew Basnight is in a dynamite blast and comes out the other side unharmed (and 
has his revelation re grace?)  In 1905, the Grand Duke Sergei, said to be the greatest influence on the Czar,
was blown up by a bomb thrown by a young revolutionary named Kaliaev "who was left standing alive in the midst
of the debris, in his old blue coat with a red scarf, his face bleeding, but otherwise unhurt".
