Pynchon List Group Reads of non-Pynchon Books

It's funny, I read about half of Catch-22 when I was a teenager. Always meant to go back and read it again. Eventually took a copy on holiday with me about six years ago, and even though I was reading it whilst sitting in the sun outside a bar in Antibes, drinking ice cold Stella and smoking a Cohiba, meaning my mood was just about as good as it gets, I just couldn't enjoy the book. Heller's smug introduction (to the new pb edition) didn't help. I guess I just got bored of the same riff going on over and over again..........
