Pynchon List Group Reads of non-Pynchon Books

I guess I should revise the "boring" indictment. There were certain plot
elements that I thought worked pretty well, and I mean it couldn't have been
too boring because I did finish it (and it is, indeed, a very long book). I
guess it was this "depth" that David mentioned that I found lacking.
It's not so much that it's a bad book, but that I can't figure out why it's
been so tirelessly praised in pretty much every venue of note. My aversion
is largely reactionary against the hype.
