Pynchon List Group Reads of non-Pynchon Books

A number of years ago I subscribed to a Joyce reading list, before I
embarked upon my first (and only so far) read of Ulysses.  They were
the most erudite (and polite) group I've ever encountered online
(there were, however a couple of showboaters/contrarians - but they
were tolerated).  Their level of discussion was far beyond my ability
to do anything with but quietly lurk.  While I was there I enjoyed
many posts from a person called "Riverend," a fine Joycean scholar.
Sadly, he passed away before I left that list.

Does anyone know what list I'm referring to?  I've done a short
search, but I'm not sure it still exists.  I wanted to suggest that
list to those interested in a Ulysses read.  The P-list could manage a
worthwhile attempt, but couldn't match that group.

Anyway, I did find this obituary of the Riverend:
