Today while listening to the first lesson read from Acts 1, I was reminded
at Pynchon must be also just as fascinated by the mysticism of

Wasn't Gottfried wearing white, isn't the effect of leaving the world in
the fashion he did said to foretell the reverse, the mirror of his return,
uniting the powers of above and below, our death-(terestrial) kingdom being
replaced by a heavenly one. And so the BP oil leak like a backdrop to our
fossil fuel plastic prison, it all seemed to cosmically hit me this
morning..
