The question has long been, how are they "supposed" to function?  Me,
I always manage to learn @ LEAST a little something (and actually a
whole lot more, so ...) ...

... but this subject heading sounds almost politically cynical ...

But that being said, I'm abstaining, working for the time being on
delivering what I'd intended, not to mention promised, for Inherent
Vice.  It's been a helluva year for me, thanks everybody for yr
patience, indulgence, even ...
