I suspect that I made that insinuation by posting that all the
reprints of Pynchon's early stories were bootlegs. I guess that the
much-reprinted [and rather dire] "Entropy" should also be mentioned
here.
Of course, "Slow Learner" came out as all the reprints started to turn
into bootlegs.
