actually, I think that links to a fascinating (but brief) revelation
that every 12th line of Plato's works, when viewed in the original
format, deals with music.

It also brings to mind the complete quartets of Schoenberg, which, if
he wrote one for each tone, would number 12. (but due diligence shows
that's not the case)

...if Plato was right about new music being a destructive force, then
12 destroyers would be fitting platforms for such a launch.

And if the untrammeled expression of lust is what military conquest is
all about, at root, then there might be a connection there as well.

And the working out of the impulse in literature, however grungy,
rather than action, is actually a step toward goodness, and Pig one of
the heroes of the book, as I've always maintained.
